Gelatin Silver Printing Service
Gelatin silver printing is a traditional monochromatic photographic enlargement process involving camera negative and a print coated with a light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion. This process is sometimes simply considered a “traditional darkroom print” because of how prevalent the process for decades of photographic printmaking.
With today’s digital technology, I can now make digital negatives for contact prints up to 40x60 inches. This method allows for images originating from either film OR digital cameras to be traditionally printed in the darkroom. The hybrid process also allows for corrections to be made, which reduces blemishes and creates a more perfect print.
